PAT testing is well known to most people who own a business; or at least it should be. Typically, once a PAT test has been carried out on an appliance, a sticker will be placed on its surface to show that it has been tested. To supplement this, it is important to have a PAT Testing Certificate showing the details of the testing.

What should be on a PAT Testing Certificate?

The minimum details any PAT testing certificate should contain are:

The details of the site that has been tested

And entry for each appliance, along with whether it has passed or failed

          Individual re-test dates

The details of the person or company that performed the test

These certificates may vary from a simple hand-written note to a personalised printed certificate. It doesn’t’ matter how fancy it looks, just as long as you have one on record!

Regardless of what technique you use, it can all be for nothing without the correct book-keeping and evidence. This is why it is vital to ensure that you create certificates of testing and keep them somewhere safe.

We keep a record of every test and due date for all our clients and make sure we arrange re-tests before your certification elapses. With Total Safe you’ll never have to worry about your appliances; we make sure they’re always tested and always compliant, but most importantly, always safe.
