Our Fire Saftey Awareness course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in fire safety. It complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and covers topics from regulations and the law to the fire triangle, to evacuation, to risk assessing, precautionary measures and more.

What does the course aim to teach participants about Fire Safety?

The course aims to meet the following objectives:

  • Understand basic fire safety and, therefore, what to do in the event of an emergency
  •  State the main causes of fires in the workplace
  •  Outline the costs of fires in the workplace for everyone involved
  • Understand your responsibilities and duties in relation to fire safety in your workplace and also understand those of the designated Fire Marshals
  •  Describe the actions you should take in the event of a fire in your workplace
  • Understand fire risk control and effective fire risk management
  • Outline how the components of the fire triangle can be used to control fire risks
  • Outline fire prevention measures that can be taken to minimise fire risks
  • Understand the basics of practical fire safety
  • Outline simple checks for ensuring that fire safety equipment is serviceable and also safe to use.

The course is ideal to give all members of staff basic fire training. This is really important because it increases awareness and cooperation in the event of a fire in the workplace. Awareness will reduce the risk of fires breaking out and therefore save lives.
